hapter 5 discusses how online advertising has become about making connections and social media is being used to reach large audiences. Because social media includes building relationships rather then just selling a product, advertising and marketing content need to blend in with it. Consumers are now interacting with businesses making the connection more authentic strengthening the image of a company or brand. This relates to Cost of Ignoring where a company doesn't reach out to its customers. This chapter also talks about how important the product, place, price and promotion is. Then there's Return On Investment which is how much money one invests versus how much they make in return. ROI is calculated by how much traction a company or product is receiving and if the consumers are in tune with what is being sold. Social media helps push the idea of creating valuable and positive experiences with consumers to make an impact that keeps them coming back.
